Ho Ho Watanay by Han Ding

Intermediate Piano. Translated “Sleep, Sleep, Little One.” Canadian Iroquois Lullaby. Commissioned by the Alberta Registered Music Teachers’ Association in honor of Canada 150 and ARMTA 85. The brief melody appears twice in the piece – on the second and fourth lines. Requires considerable coordination for a junior pianist in order to facilitate large leaps and multiple dynamic and rubato markings.
