Commissioned by Patrice Jégou for Das Chicas, November 2003. “Evening” is a quasi-Romantic setting of a pastoral text. “The Hungry Lion Roars” has a wonderful playfulness as the voice and flute continuously pass a rhythmic motive back and forth. “L’obscurité” is a hybrid of both English and French text. Includes score and parts.
