Intermediate Strings. For string quartet. Based on folk music of the Red River and dedicated to the Métis people of Manitoba. Commissioned by the Cambrian String Quartet with the generous assistance of the Manitoba Arts Council. Violin II and Viola start playing in the side wings before moving to center stage. Includes fiddling and strumming the fiddle like a mandolin.
